// The challenge

Differentiation in a crowded connectivity market.

Cobira is a leading enabler of global IoT connectivity: multi-IMSI subscriptions, telco agreements worldwide, and an advanced connectivity management platform that businesses build IoT services on. In that market, connectivity itself is table stakes — differentiation comes from the value-added services layered on top.

Cobira wanted two capabilities its customers kept asking for, without building either from scratch: continuous visibility into the connection quality every device actually experiences, and device location without the cost, battery drain, and indoor failure of GPS.

// The solution

SIM-native services, integrated into Cobira's platform.

Telkoa deployed SimX on Cobira's SIMs and eSIMs — no device firmware, no apps, no changes to customer hardware. Both capabilities feed Cobira's own IoT Enabler Platform through APIs, appearing to end customers as native Cobira services.

// The outcome

A new tier of value-added services.

"Long-term partnerships with strong partners and key technology providers is an essential strategic element for Cobira in how we ensure a continuously expanding value-added service portfolio of IoT Enabler Services for our customers. Working with Telkoa has brought our technology stack in our SIM-based services area to a completely new level with their existing services and the long-term value in the co-creation of more services tailored to the versatile world of IoT."
