Telkoa builds SimX: Java Card applets that live inside SIMs and eSIMs, a cloud platform that turns their signals into decisions, and APIs that operators build products on. The work spans an unusual stack — and all of it ships to production networks.

Your code doesn't sit behind a login page — it runs inside devices in people's pockets, vehicles, and infrastructure across multiple continents.
Telkoa is a founder-led company with engineers across the UK, Mexico, Egypt, South Africa, and Vietnam. We work distributed by default, communicate in writing, and keep the team small enough that everyone's work is visible in the product. You'll have direct ownership of real components, direct contact with how customers use them, and no layers between you and the decisions.
Engineers who read specifications. Honesty about what works and what doesn't — our website says "we'll tell you what won't work", and that starts internally. And the judgment to build simply in a domain that punishes complexity.
No listed openings right now — but the bar matters more than the timing.
If you've built things in telecom, Java Card, embedded security, or high-throughput data platforms and the problems above sound like your kind of fun, write to us anyway. Strong people create their own vacancy.
